SoFlo Publishing Weekly Spotlight Book 📚

Slaughterhouse-Five is one of those books that is difficult to describe without giving too much away. At its center is Billy Pilgrim, a soldier during World War II who seems to move back and forth through different moments of his life, experiencing the past, present, and future in unexpected ways.

There’s war, science fiction, dark humor, and some very strange moments along the way. But underneath all of that is a story about the lasting effects of war and the way people try to make sense of things that don’t make much sense at all.

And since we’re sharing this on the last day of Banned Books Week, it’s worth mentioning that Slaughterhouse-Five has been challenged and banned over the years. Another good reason to read it and decide for yourself. 📖
